Blind Date

Have you ever had a friend that mentioned, "Hey, you got any plans tonight? Because, I know someone that is perfect for you and both of you all should meet." So, what should you do? What you should do depends on how much value you place in your friend's judgment for playing matchmaker. If you feel that your friend understands exactly the type of person that you are looking for and you trust your friend enough for them to care about your well being, then you should consider their offer. After all, how bad can a blind date be? I know what you are thinking but remember you are looking for opportunities to meet people.

If you are isolated in your room playing playstation all day, it is hard to meet anyone. Unless, you created an avatar and roaming the digital universe casting dungeon and dragon love potion spells on some good looking elves. Now, you think about it a blind date is perhaps not so bad after all and maybe this is exactly something that you may need to get yourself out of the house and to start to meet people.

Alright, so you have agreed to go on your blind date. So, what is the next step? The next step is to pick up a phone and make a call to your blind date and introduce your self. Remember, do not be nervous and open up your conversation with an ice breaker. Tell your blind date how much you are looking forward to meeting them and you are just looking at this as an opportunity to meet someone nice and to have a nice dinner.

Great, so you now had your opening conversation with your blind date, and you set up a place to meet. You did set a place to meet, right? Ok, so where is a good place to meet for a blind date. The standard dating venue is a nice restaurant that is lively and that creates a fun environment for you and your date. You want to set your self up for success, so you have to plan.

Now, you have arrived at the dating venue and this date can go two ways. One, when your date arrives, you want to call your friend and thank them for thinking about you and express how wonderful they are. The second is that you tell your friend to forget your phone number and then take out a restraining order on them. So, hopefully your date will go well and perhaps this day would lead to a long term relationship. But, just in case always have an exit strategy ready.

Just in case that you misjudge your friend completely, and you realize they have no idea about the type of person that you are looking for, you need to have your exit strategy ready. When you are on your blind date, you should be respectful enough to at least have an appetizer and drinks. Then execute your exit plan and close the date nicely and respectfully. This is part of the adventures of trying to find your soul mate. Good luck on your next blind date.
